NAC053

Information NAC053

Description

Encodes a transcriptional activator that is associated with the plasma membrane in a dormant form and is proteolytically cleaved to create a form that can enter the nucleus. It is thought to promote ROS production by binding directly to the promoters of genes encoding ROS biosynthetic enzymes during drought-induced leaf senescence.
